Continuing Education/Upgrading

Continuing Education/Upgrading Continuing education is an integral part of any vocation today. Registered Massage Therapists have mandatory credits to get every 3 years. However; I have had a passion for learning and finding our more about the mystery of the human body all my life. This spring I took a cadaver class where we were studying the brain. It was fascinating and I clearly understand when it is said we only use 10% of our brain. What a “Motherboard” the human brain is. I took 3 levels of craniosacral therapy 25 years ago from Upledger Institute. They have updated their curriculum in 2010. Cranial Sacral Therapy helps with headaches, motor vehicle accidents, concussions and trauma. Plus; it does address deep pain or tightness in the muscular system and supplies mental clarity. Gift Shows Lead to New Fall Lines

Gift Shows Lead to New Fall Lines The excitement and challenge arises every August for the Alberta Gift Show. We try to enjoy ourselves during this adventure and are sharing a few pictures with you. Our friends. Going to the Alberta Gift Show gives us the opportunity to view new spa products and retail merchandise for the coming season. We get to meet new wholesalers and purchase some of the best products a spa can offer to their clients. We are able to discuss business promotions and shipping costs.   Verlie does a great job of organizing our journey though the halls and arranging the new products once they arrive to the Spa. Come and shop our latest products and keep coming back as new items will be arriving every few weeks.

I was so grateful and I wanted to help half as many people as the late Grace Thain from Mid Night Lake had helped over the span of 40 years. I believe I would and have provided a great service to Unity and District. Once again I was faced with psoriasis and checked out all the options for treatment, there was little out there for me to choose from. Through research I found European Spas offered natural treatments for psoriasis. Twenty years ago there was no training in Saskatchewan…

Why a Registered Massage Therapist?

Greetings from the solarium at Sunrise Wellness Spa! I love to sit in the hammock and relax and reflect… Today I would like to elaborate on the importance of going to a registered massage therapist (RMT). An RMT has completed two years of massage therapy school and has passed the Board Exams of the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS). The Provinces have worked hard to develop a high standard of massage education nationally. They have worked diligently with Insurance Companies and WCB and SGI to comply with the highest standard of massage education in Canada. The Board exams are another safe guard of quality treatment you will receive. When a therapist has passed the written and practical Board exam, the therapist then receives designation of RMT and you as a client will then be able to be reimbursed by the many insurance  companies that cover massage therapy as well…
