Battle River Ranch

On Saturday June 16, 2018 I loaded up my van with bedding plants, flowers and perennials from my garden and friends.

It was time to create a rock garden from the pile of rocks and boulders that were left behind from digging the basement of the new lodge.

The weeds had already been treated with roundup.

I arrived at 8:30 am by 9:30 Joel Enns came to help; a trainee and Josiah a student from Lloydminster to complete his 10 hours of volunteer hours. Ernest the director of the camp came to help with our needs. Supplying a water hose, gloves, tools and then a back hoe for Joel to bring a large amount of good soil to add around the rocks and boulders. By noon we started to see the making of a beautiful rock garden.

Our mission came to an end at 2:30 pm. Joel was amazed at the transformation of the pile of rocks that are now a beautiful rock garden. We are very proud of our accomplishment.

We had time to share our stories and confirm how Jesus has worked in our lives. Joel stands so proud being a part of the beautification of the rock garden at Battle River Ranch.
